Adderall / Drug Test

I am starting my summer internship in a week, and had my drug test done last Friday. I was in the middle of exams when it was taken, and I am certain that Adderall will show up on the test. I brought my prescription to the drug testing facility and they said that the lab would just call if I tested positive for anything, before even talking to the employer. Then I would be able to explain and get them a copy of the prescription.

I got a call today that the test hadn't arrived at my employer's office yet, and I am freaking out. I haven't received any calls from the lab, and I have to start work in less than 1 week. Has anyone had any experience with this?

The Legacy of Bailouts

From Greg Mankiw's Blog:

Sunday, May 04, 2008

The Legacy of Bailouts

Alan Blinder make the case for more regulation of financial institutions. The key passage:

It will, for example, substantially reduce the profitability of investment houses and, therefore, reduce their scale. But that’s the price you pay for access to a publicly financed safety net.

What kind of lifestyle?

What kind of lifestyle can you live as an associate, assuming your salary is $300-400k? Do most associates live in the suburbs, or in the city? Is there a typical point in a career banker's life that he will move to the suburbs? Does an associate usually have a car?

What about at the VP level? What is a good salary to assume, and what kind of lifestyle is typical for a VP?

It seems like it is the general consensus that health care coverage has pretty bad hours, no matter what bank you work in. Why is this? And how bad are we talking?
