Are people too picky nowadays in choosing someone to settle down with?

When people try hard to grow professionally and personally, they expect a lot of themselves and of their future mates.

But are we being too picky at our own detriment?

Is the "I can do better" mentality affecting our search for "the one"?

Sometimes I feel like I am too picky.

How long to date before having sex?

Game Theory's thread inspired me to create this one. He mentioned sleeping with someone after 3 dates. To me, that is way too soon, but I don't know if that is the norm nowadays.

So how long do you wait until doing the deed?

What are some good magazines/newspapers to get that are NOT business focused ?

I know there was already a thread on business related publications, but what are some good all-around publications for news/good articles that aren't necessarily business/finance oriented? I read online stuff, but I like physical publications more because I can focus more when I read a real life paper, so I'm trying to compile a list of stuff to subscribe to. And if you happen to know any deals on how to get cheaper subscriptions, that'd be great to know too. Thanks.

Civic clubs in San Francisco...

Hi everyone,
I will be going to SF for grad school and staying there (or possibly moving to SJ) to start my career. Does anyone know a good civic club I can join there? I like being involved in community-oriented things because it's a good place to meet informed people and a good way to integrate into the community. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Living in a new city...

I am about to move to a new city for grad school and will be working there after I graduate. However, the thought of leaving my family behind bothers me. I plan on coming back to my hometown after I get some experience, but I might end up in the new city since I'd have new friends, and maybe even marry someone there. I really want my kids to grow up around my family, though, so it's tough.

Transfer Pricing....

I am not in ibanking, but will be getting my MST. After my MST, I am trying to get into either the International Tax group or the Transfer Pricing group at a Big 4.

Does anyone know which of these groups travel the least? I don't mind hours, I just don't want to travel that much for business. Thanks.
