Business Week: Best place to launch your career! #22 Lehman Brothers

This is a big joke right?

'The financial services giant gives entry-level hires something to look forward to--employees own about 30% of company shares.'

http://images.businessweek.com/ss/06/09/bestplacestowork/source/22.htm

I-Banking have no Future!

Citi just bought Wachovia. So it total to like 5 banks left in US, give a take a few. AIG failed due to a tiny part of their business. Their collapse led to a huge market downturn. 5 to 10 year down the road, what happen if one of these maga banks collapse? That is actually kind of scary to me! what do you guys think? Do we have any job securities at all?

BOA vs. ML

Ok think high level now. BOA fire their own employee to keep ML's? What do u think will be the response internally! i am not talking about the high up people or the analyst. think about all the VPs who actually have a voice and is screaming right now. I would expect them to fire low to mid level ML people and replace it with BOA current ones. I know people will say that ML has better quality people, but quality only shows at high level. analyst is the same as the next guy. If you don;t think so, quite your job and see if your company...your division... your team miss a beat!

Ex-OPs anyone!

Hi All,

There has been some discussion to suggest that OPs is a good platform to step into the front office. I was wondering if anyone can verify that! I am assuming it is eaiser to go into S&T than IBD from OPs. If anyone (ex-ops)can share some experience on how they got where they are, much appreciated.

I apoligize if you already read the same post in IBD Forums!
