figuring out a possible future ?

I'm currently employed at a hedge fund administration as production support which is more IT and ops support, 2+ yrs experience already and currently getting a BA in Eco. What are some possible career paths with the experience and degree I can explore other than the prod support one?

P.S. i also plan on getting an MBA in a few yrs

Any advice would be appreciated.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Monitor automated job processes and respond to any issues or errors.
2. Assist in all production support issues that arise from the user community.
3. Thorough analysis of Security Master/Market Data discrepancies. Must be able to identify root cause of issues within application, process or by third party data vendors.
4. Work with users and developers to help define new projects to extend and enhance company's proprietary financial applications
5. Create test scenarios and implement test cases that will serve as acceptance test criteria for new functionality
6. Responsible for coordinating UAT efforts for Development releases.
7. Act as primary contact for after hours support
8. Be a hands-on member of the team.

Question for all you scholarly men and women.. I'm currently working for a hedge fund administration (almost 2 yrs) and still in school (undergrad) and would like to break into the hedge fund/banking industry in a couple years. Any advice on whether this experience will serve a use for me?
