I HATE my internship...about to do something risky

So I'm about to round out the second week of my internship and its absolute shit.

I'm about to do something a bit risky and I'd appreciate some wisdom from you guys out there with more experience.

To preface this, I first signed with this bank because the offer was an exploding one. The role is BO, although I didn't know it was going to be THAT BO (now I've learned that no matter how fancy your title is, BO is BO). I subsequently received FO offers from other banks after I signed but declined them because of the fear of the consequences that reneging would bring.

Two weeks in, its not a fit...AT ALL. Its obvious why they're there and so many of them have been stuck there without any mobility. Even if I do get an offer, there is no doubt that I would decline.

I'm curious to know the opinions of those who have reneged, know anything about reneging or are part of the recruitment process.

What are the repercussions apart from being blackballed?

Does it make sense to ban someone forever just because they were trying to hedge their bets in a risky job market?

If you only had a BO internship but all of a sudden landed a FO now, would you renege with less than one month to go before the start date? How ethical is this and what are the long term repercussions on your career?

Internship Dilemma: How will this be perceived?

Been lurkin around for a while now and this place is really educational.

Anyways, I need some advice on choosing between two internships.

I've been offered an internship position in the finance department for a BB. I've yet to have been assigned a product group so there is a lot of ambiguity, but its clearly middle/back office.

I've also been offered a role in the S&T fixed income division of another BB. The internship itself is being marketed as more of a FO one, although I'm not too sure of this myself and would appreciate the advice of those on here.

From my understanding, it basically consists of working closely with Sales (seated on the trading floor if it makes any difference). Job includes performance analysis, product reporting, following up on market new. What I can recall is that there is a "lot of number crunching" and was a very "numbers oriented job". My apologies for not being able to recall any more.
