Opinion on the Analyst Exchange

Hi guys,
Has anyone taken the M&A and LBO modeling courses from The Analyst Exchange? I wanted to know your thoughts on it and also if it is worth it as I'm considering to buy one of those training packages.

Suggestions? Opinions?

Thanks.

Does anyone have an idea on how...

Hi,
I have a technical question related to the impact on taxes when adjusting historical financials for non-recurring/extraordinary items and I was wondering if anyone more experienced could help me with it. Just for disclosure, I'm studying to break into the IB industry, so that's the reason for the question.

Ok, Let's take a generic example:

EBIT ------> $ 300
Interest ------> ($ 1000)
Pre-Tax income ---> ($ 700)
Taxes ------> $ 200
Net Income ------> ($ 500)

Suppose we have to adjust EBIT for two non-recurring items (pre-tax): (1). $ 400 one-time lawsuit expense; (2). $ 200 one-time restructuring expense.

Now, the Pre-Tax income should be ($ 100) - once we added back $ 600 to EBIT. So, with those ajustments (reducing losses from -$700 to -$100), how would we adjust the positive $ 200 on the Tax line to reflect the tax impact due to normalization adjustments?
Let's assume a marginal tax rate of 35%.

I appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,

I'm about to buy the training program from WSP. Has anybody taken the premium package from WSP? How long does it actually take to complete the full course?

And is the paper-based tutorial self-explanatory?

Tks for the help.

Help on a Pitchbook

Hi guys, I need to have a look at a pitchbook model for IB. And I know it is pretty hard to obtain one, but just as a guide everyone recommends the "Proposed Acquisition of Heller Financial by United Technologies Corporation" that is uploaded in the following link: http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=909704

But I don't have access to that, as it requires a login and password. So, does anyone has this pitchbook already in .pdf and can please forward to my e-mail.

I appreciate your help.
tks a lot!
