Lazard exit opps in Europe

I got an offer from Lazard for their second largest European office (ie, not London), though I will be spending some time in the London office as well.

My question is: how well is Lazard regarded in Europe, and does it give you the same exit opps into PE here as it does in the US?

Does anyone here know people who have been at Lazard in Europe and now work at top PE funds?

Cheers,

Is this legit?

So a friend of mine started at ML Asia early this year; he worked two months as an "Analyst Intern", was then given a full-time offer and started as full-time analyst immediately after his internship ended.
Now he is applying to PE shops in Asia, and he writes on his resume that he was an "Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst", but he includes in the dates worked the 2 months when he was formally still an intern.

Don't you have to indicate on your resume that you were an intern from, say, January-February and then an Analyst, from March-present? Do people care about that distinction? Is it legit to do what my friend did, or could it get you into trouble? How do banks report your dates worked to other firms that inquire?

Cheers,

How difficult is it really to build DCF and/or LBO models? How long does it take an intelligent person to learn to build complex models?

Anyone have any first-hand experience with how Citigroup is regarded in Europe?

So which PE mega funds do the LBO test for Analysts who have 1-2 years of experience at BB IBD?

Anyone have confirmed info on the various shops?

PE Interview on portfolio companies

One contact at a PE firm told me they are going to ask questions about the firm's portfolio companies. But this particular PE fund has about 50 portfolio companies, so I wonder how many of them I need to know and how detailed my knowledge about them should be?

Does anyone have experience with PE interview questions about portfolio companies?

Distressed Debt/Special Situations

So I have an interview with the Distressed Debt/Special Situations group of a BB. I never applied to that group though.

Now what the hell do they ask about in Distressed Debt interviews? It's not going to be about DCF and multiples, as in M&A, I guess. And I have no experience related to distressed debt either.

Anyone have experience with distressed debt interviews?

Highest comp out of undergrad

So what is the highest total comp for someone straight out of college that you have heard of?

I will begin: someone I know started at a global macro HF out of Duke U.
He got 100k base and 100k bonus, so total of 200k USD (the money was paid in EUR but it was 200k USD at the then-prevailing exchange rate).
