How do you get into one of the Corporate Development/Business Development jobs?

Any experienced people who have worked in one of those positions before?

I am looking for one of those jobs. I have just completed first year of MBA, part-time program. Should one look at internships or is there a possibility of getting a full-time job if you do not have work experience in strategy planning or M&A before?

Any ideas/suggestions etc. more than welcome.!!
