Terrified about SA recruitment this year...(Canada)

A little background info:
Going into 3rd year for a business degree at a canadian university with decent recruitment for ibanking(uoft, schulich, queens)

gpa: 3.85 (top few % in my school...recieved numerous scholarships for academic merit already)

I have no solid extracurriculars except varsity wrestling, no previous ibanking experience. I plan to join a few clubs in the start of 3rd year but i doubt this will do much.

With the current market conditions I am absolutely terrified about not getting a SA position for next summer. I do not see any other alternative career paths for me, so its do or die.

Just a few questions:
How much will my terrible extracurriculars hurt me for ibanking recruitment? Will I be able to compensate for them with my gpa + varsity wrestling + a few bullshit positions in clubs?

When should I start preparing for the interviews? Should I start reading some valuation/modelling books, review economics concepts, etc..?
