Opp. at very small PE fund w/o banking background

I was just given an offer from a very small PE firm (120MM) growth fund geographically focused on Texas.

It's only 3 partnes with succesful backgrounds in bigger PE's and currently raising their 2nd fund.
Deals are smaill in the range of 10-15MM where most of the work comes after closing the deals, which involves working with small/Family companies next to the CEO and establishing controls and managing growth.

My background is not in IB nor Consulting so I feel like I haven't "paid paid my dues" and going straight to PE would impact my competitiveness if i need/want to switch to a different fund in the future.

I just graduated from a top B-School and have an offer for Consulting... not M/B/B.. a firm ranked ~12th place.

My dilemma is that if I decline the oportunity of getting into PE now to go to "pay my dues" in a 2nd tier consulting firm, the opportunity may not come ever again in the future.
