FSG

I realize that FSG is a generalist product/industry for PE firms. However, if there is a separate LevFin group, what does FSG do exactly? Do they act as more of relationship bankers? Do they model/execute their own deals?

If you know anything about FSG, feel free to give your opinions.

Mid-Market M&A at BB

Well, I was going through the group placement package and found this group called Mid-Market M&A. What are your opinions on this group? Do you think the learning experience, exit opportunities will be similar to regular M&A? It seems like it's pretty similar to regular M&A Group except deal size (It ranges from 100mm to 1bn)

Please tell me what you think of this kind of group at BB.

Tax 2007

I know the whole tax has been covered in depth. However, I think my situation is a little bit different, and I would like to have know more.

I interned at BB last summer and live in one of the southern states. I just received my signing bonus, which has been taxed in NY. First of all, is this normal? Second, will I be able to get refund on this since I will start working in July and make around 45k in 2007?

Which industry should I choose?

I know we have some people who will become analysts starting this summer. I was wondering people in the industry already could give their advice on which industry to choose. Can you tell me about the pros and cons of your industry group? For example, what is Communications like? How about Consumer? I would like to know different groups in terms of types of work, exit opps, and anything else you wish you had known before choosing your group.

Can anyone at Citi confirm this? If this actually happens, how will this affect their business?

Citigroup, no respect?

I was going through 2006 Q1 - Q3 league tables for fun and found something interesting.

For debt, Citi is the top dog.
For equity, Citi is #2 following GS.
For M&A, Citi is #2 following GS, once again.

The information above is based on US involvement.

Anyway, it seems to me that Citi is excellent in league tables. Why is it that some view Citi not as good as Lehman, UBS, ML, or even MS?

Also, what are some of the best groups at Citi?
