Hey all...

Well after several weeks frequenting this forum I've officially signed on with a Big 6 DCM group for Debt Origination and yes, you all deserve a hearty thank you for the info that has been so helpful on this site. I'm gonna try be here and stay so i can offer my 2 cents as time goes by.

Base = 60K CDN
Signon = 10K CDN
Start = Aug 2007
Paid Vacation = 10 Days

My friend at another Big 6 bank is joining them for IB M&A and will be getting Base = 65K CDN and Signon = 5K CDN, starting July 07 with 15 days paid vacation.

1 Year MBA Programs

I was just taking a look at some of the top business schools in Europe/Canada as an alternative to the Harvards/Whartons/Sterns and alot of them are 1 year programs.

We're talking about the business schools with big names too like INSEAD, IMD, Said (Oxford), Judge (Cambridge)and even Canadian ones like Queens and Ivey.

The only top tier foreign business schools that have 2 year programs are London Business School and Schulich (York).

DCM and IBD with CIBC WM in Toronto

Hey all...

Well I've been doing the recruitment rounds and well I reached final rounds with DCM and IBD with CIBC World Markets in Toronto.

DCM has already called me back to discuss potential work placements within the group and I should get a final response on whether or not I get the offer on Monday.

Just out of curiousity...I know DCM pays roughly the same...maybe less than IBD...and that hours tend to be better...
