GS Finance vs Equities/FICC S&T

Another dilemma. I swear GS is slightly giving me a headache. But they are allowed to I suppose (even though there is a limit). SO I had a post earlier about GS HR specifically for S&T. Couple of days after that, I was asked to also inteview for their Finance division b/c they are also interested in me. I interviewed with finance and that same day I was told that I am going straight to final round--I am told it is down to me and some other person who has been interviewing for 3mnths.

TAX

To DO or NOT to DO? That is the questions right? I am thinking of trying my preetty little fingers on TurboTax. What do you guys think? My tax info et al are relatively straigtforward I think. I just don't know if I want to take the plunge or have the accountant that filed my things last year do it again.

Let me know your thoughts. If you have done it yourself before, share your experiences with me please.

O.K. guys I just want to get your feel on my little situation here. GS HR (S&T) contacted me like 1.5 mnths ago stating they are interested in me. It took almost a month before I was even given the opportunity to meet with their HR. I finally met with them (twice) within the last two weeks. I called for today in order to follow up with them. I was told by on one to call back next week so we cna talk.

From Sales Assistant to Sales Rep

Hi All,

I want to get your opinion on my current dilemma. I'm a Sales Assistant within HY debt group. I am coming to the end of my analyst program & the thing is that I really want to make a move to be a Sales Rep. Currently their are no opportunity to move onto the desk I support. The thing is that people at my bank love me but the slight problem is that my current desk would not want me to go but I have to do what is best for me.
