Hey everyone,

I've just got an offer for an analyst position in corp fin advisory:) I have been using this forum for over 1 months now and actually find the career related topics very useful in gaining knowledge needed to get into IB.

I hope everyone will share more of these real life IB experiences and help other IB aspirants to get into this industry.

Join IB Infrastructure or top tier Advisory

I'm contemplating couple of opportunities coming my way, which are both very good in my opinion.

1) Analyst role at a global IB's infrastructure team, working on bidding, buying and selling infrastructure assets like energy, power, rail, roads etc etc.
Same type of work as corp finance, but only focused on infra.

2) generalist analyst role with a market leading corporate advisory. exposed to M&A, restructure, defence for all industries.

Transition to PE without Corporate Finance experience

Hi All

I'm a management consultant looking to make a move into the world of finance.

There are currently couple of opportunities I'm persueing.
1) Analyst role @ top tier boutique corporate finance advisory firm ($500MM + transactions)
2) Analyst role @ top tier MBO LBO private equity firm ($100MM + transactions)

I know that the "normal" route is to get the adequate skills from CorpFin then move into a more commercial role in PE.
