Interview Dress Code

I have a PE interview later this week. I was originally planning on wearing a suit and tie like I normally would, but I just received the agenda which clearly stated the dress is "business casual."

What's the safest route to go in this situation:
1) Follow the instructions on the agenda and wear business casual, or
2) Show up wearing a suit and tie, and remove it after I arrive, if necessary?

I don't know how many people here have much experience with mezzanine capital, but hopefully some of you can help.

I have an interview coming up in the next month with a mezzanine capital firm (think www.gmbmezz.com, www.peninsulafunds.com, www.churchillmezzanine.com, http://www3.prudential.com/pcg/main/mezzanine.html, etc...), and was hoping for some insight with respect to what type of technical questions I should prepare for.

In past transactions, the firm has invested between $20-$50mm, and it is a relatively small tight-knit team.

Should I expect more personality and deal-related questions? Or should I also prepare for technical questions?

I don't know that this is necessarily the best forum for this question, so, moderators, feel free to move it if there is a better forum.

The above post, and the response from lager44, made me curious as to how helpful the CFA would be in private equity. Also, what about CAIA?

Would either, or both, be helpful to have on your resume if you're interviewing for a position in PE?

Would either, or both, help you to become a better PE professional (assuming you already have the position)?

I tried to search for "CFA" in the PE forum, and came up with no results (although I guess the search function may be flawed), so I apologize if this has already been asked (if so, would you please provide a link to the forum topic?).

This may be a longshot, but does anyone know much about Nancy Creek Capital (http://www.nancycreekcapital.com/)?

Any information would be helpful. Also, if you know much about it's relationship with The Branch-Shelton Company (http://www.branch-shelton.com/) that would be helpful (for example, do the investment team members of Nancy Creek also do M&A advisory at Branch-Shelton? The team members on the website for each company are the same).

Has anyone worked with Forrer & Associates (or know anyone who has) when looking to make the move to private equity? If so,
do you have any comments or insight about how it was working with them? Are they legit? I recently got a voicemail from someone who works there about pe positions with some of the companies they work with.

Liddell over Jardine: even though I think it might be closer than most are expecting
Rua over Griffin: I don't know why they are putting Griffin in there to get crushed by Shogun
Fitch over Sanchez: some people might call it an upset, but I think Fitch can pull it off

I'm not really too interested in any of the other fighters, but I'm sure some of the other fights will turn out to be good.

How did you end up with your position? Was it through a headhunter? Networking/Contacts? Job Posting? Something Else?

And for those of you who got it through a headhunter, do you know how the headhunter found out about you?

I had a phone interview with HLHZ's Chicago office earlier this week and have been invited to a superday (and a dinner the night before) in Chicago in a couple weeks (they actually told me I could either do it this weekend or two weeks from now). I was wondering if anyone else has attended an HLHZ superday (at any of the locations), and if so, would you share about your experience and/or what you think I should expect.

What do you know about Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin? I am most curious about exposure for analysts, hours, compensation, and anything else worth commenting on for both the NY and Chicago office (please specify for which office, though).
