Books/Prepare for I-Banking Analyst

Hi,

I will be starting as a full time analyst in August at a prestigious investment bank in Manhattan. This is my last summer which I am looking to enjoy to have a clean mind and to be ready for hard work.

I have no direct I-banking experience and I am looking for suggestions for reading, good training or "overview" books, or similar material to make sure I am on top of things...

Thanks f

Looking for Flatmates NYC

Hi,

I am looking for 1 or at most 2 flatmates that would like to live in NYC or close, on the Metro North line so both of us can end up close to grand central 42nd. I will be working for a prestigious investment bank starting from the end of summer on 51st and 3rd. I have good sources for very nice and luxury apartments at good prices.

If anyone is interested please message me for more info. I am looking for young people that are in a similar profession or role, are very neat, talkative, non-smoking and would like to live in a luxurious but affordable place that is kept clean and organized. I prefer people that are cool, generous rather then cheap; and ones that are fun and outgoing as free time comes who have the intelligence to balance all this with the hard work and sometimes tough hours.

internship or full-time help

I just got my diploma and had top academic and athletic achievements (and also no time to apply anywhere before March...) and looking for a full time job or internship. If it is a good company I would not mind starting as an unpaid intern. Any suggestions where to go, where to apply? (Doostang, Monster, efinancialcareers, craigslist, and recruitment firms are almost useless...)

I appreciate your time and help!

Investment Bank List

Could you guys list any other investment banks that are doing well, and possibly recruit besides the Vault top 50? Or any other I-banks / M&A advisory firms to know about? International I-banks? Smaller, or rising boutiques?

Thanks

Houlihan Lokey, Macquarie Group

Hi,

Houlihan Lokey is flying me to London, so if anyone interviewed with them, please list some questions you received. Also if you have any special notes, or suggestions, please help.

Also I have an in-person interview coming up in NY with Macquarie group, and wanted to ask if any of you have experience with them. Any suggestions, or special questions to prepare for? Any new brainteasers? It is first round, but still I would appreciate some help, or some good notes that would make me stand out.

For NYC investment bankers

Anyone working as a current analyst/associate at a major investment bank in Manhattan area?
I happen to have a few connections, and I was thinking about possibly organizing a meeting, in a "happy hour" or over the weekend. As interviews are coming soon, maybe it would be beneficial for many people, and fun. I am sure it would help people on their resumes, cover letters, and networking, and just by simply meeting new people in the same industry.
