Tuck

Anybody familiar with the school? Went there yourself?

I'd like to know anything and everything about the place--people's impressions of Tuck, profiles of Tuck students, etc, etc.

Thanks.

Need Quick: Food in NYC Financial District

Sitting at my desk contemplating dinner, not too excited about the usual fare.

Do any good steakhouses (a la Mark Joseph, Bobby Van's, etc) down here deliver? I'm in the mood for something medium rare with a side of thick-cut bacon.

Thanks for any ideas.

Excel - a thousand *incurable* page breaks

Anybody know the best way to fix this when it happens (i.e. when you're adjusting the page breaks and, for no apparent reason, each individual cell becomes its own page break--with no way to fix it)?

I've been using Excel for years and still haven't heard a good explanation / remedy for this.

An Idea

In the interest of eliminating a lot of the clutter on certain threads within the General IB Discussion forum, I propose the following:

No more hijacking threads with one-on-one quibbles that benefit absolutely no one. You do a real disservice to people (including me) who are interested in others' opinions, perspectives, experiences, etc. on topics that may carry some significance. Having to scroll through 15 posts of two people arguing, questioning each other's credentials, sexual orientation, or whatever, is at the same time annoying and utterly wasteful discourse.

Personal Investing

To the extent that you guys have not spent your bonuses to a) pay off loans, b) have a few custom suits made (to borrow an oft-repeated topic), c) buy expensive watches, stereos, TVs, etc.....

How do you invest your money (or do you)? I believe there may have been a few similar posts on this forum, but there's nothing wrong with some fresh opinions.

Personally, I find it frustrating that in banking you have a couple things going against you from the beginning--namely that 1) you have no time to do the requisite amount of work to make sound investment decisions, and 2) you've got so many trade restrictions that it may not be worth the time anyway.

NYC Financial District Food

I'm in the mood for some new delivery joints. Some mainstays for my group in the past 2 years have been:

Au Mandarin (Chinese)
Lemongrass Grill (Thai)
Balucci's (Indian)
Amish Market (Pizza)
Bread Tribeca (Italian)
Pound & Pence (Pub Food)
Casual Grill (Sandwiches)
Zaitzeff (Organic stuff)

All are decent spots, but PLEASE send recommendations if you know of other/better restaurants.
