GMAT Prep classes

I graduated in Dec and I figured it will be wise to take the GMAT exam before July when I become a banking whore with no time.

Is it worth paying for any of the GMAT prep programs out there?

Any experienced advice on this will be greatly appreciated.

How to manage a pending offer

I currently have an offer from a BB and have 2 BB interviews lined up. 2 directors from the "offer" bank have left me messages after I received the offer but I haven't spoken to them yet.

Considering the fact that I might still end up at the firm, how should I manage this so I don't shoot myself in the foot? Do I let them know I'm still interviewing with other firms?

Please advice.

Can anyone who works with or close to a FI analytics group elaborate on what they do and the skills/knowledge required to be succesful in the group. Are strong programming skills required?

A friend of mine interviewed with Citi last week wednesday for the IB summer analyst position and was told they'll get back to him on Friday. It's monday now and he hasn't heard from them.

I have heard people saying they got "the call" the same day or the day after. Is he outta luck? Could HR just have forgotten to get back to him? How long should he wait before contacting them again?

Advice needed!!!!

Ok guys, I would really appreciate your opinion on this.

I am a computer engineering major at a 2nd tier college with a 3.9 GPA and as you would guess, trying to get into IB. I have held a few leadership position on campus and I currently intern in a BB(goldman, lehman, MS, citi, merrill) in the Application Development(IT) division. I have been trying to get an IB interview for the longest but unfortunately haven't made any progress with this and i am pretty sure all the positions are gone by now (was actually told this by the IB analyst recruiter at my firm recently). Alunmi networking wasn't an option becuase I couldn't find any alumni of my school working in IB, most end up in technical roles in firms like IBM, verizon, microsoft etc. I did the cold calling and sent numerous emails but still nothing positive has come out of it.I would admit though that i was targeting only the top firms.
