HF interview prep

I've got this interview coming up for a very large hedge fund. I'm in 2nd year IBD. Basically, what should I know going into the interview and how can I best prepare?

Apart from showing off what I did in banking, understanding the different HF strategies and having some investment ideas of my own, what else would help (input on the abovementioned also welcome!)?

Ranking ice cream flavours

Vanilla's going now, noone's into it anymore, just can't enjoy it as you used to.
The new big thing's exotic flavours, creating whole new markets, like passon fruit.
For me caramel used to be all about prestige, but now it's just so passé, way too common these days unfortunately.
PB flavoured ice cream sucks big time (I know didn't even know it existed a couple of weeks ago!), just a worthless wannabe flavour.

Derivatives marketing / corporate derivatives comp+opps?

Any ideas about comp (mainly at analyst/associate level) and exit opps?

To avoid confusion I'm talking about what's often called derivatives marketing or corporate derivatives ie. origination and issuing of all sorts of derivatives in the primary market on behalf of corporates to hedge risks etc...

It's a fast growing activity but a bit of bastard between IBD and CapMkts... any constructive comments are welcome!

Messier Partners NY - what are these guys like?

Has anyone worked at Messier Partners in New York, or know anyone who has?

I'm trying to find out anything useful basically (dealflow, culture, atmosphere, team size, working hours, perception of boutique on CV...).

Does the work at intern/analyst/associate level differ much from your usual IB?

Thanks in advance for comments!

Eur Analyst + US or Eur MBA for City Associate?

Given I've got IB experience in Europe (London+Paris) and want to continue in banking in London after an MBA, how would a top US MBA compare with a top European one when it comes to associate recruitment?
