how/where to find risk free rate... a little confused

Hello everybody

I was looking at the vault guide to finance interview from 2005 and I see that:

rf=risk free rate= long term t bond rate= 10%
(rm-rf)=long term risk premium= 8% (I know some say it should be 7% in US market, but in the example they use 8% for some reason)

However, I found that the 10year/30year from Bloomburg to be 3.5%/ 4.375 which is a big difference.

finance/accounting/dcf questions would appreciate help from someone that understands DCF analysis

Hello everyone... I was wondering if any of you are members of the rainbow room in Midtown or know much about it. (been to their website and wiki, but I hear they have some sort of members program)

If yes, do you mind sharing some of your experiences?
Is it a really a big deal, and a place where all the hot shot MDs go to?

Is it consulting, accounting, corporate finance?

How do I find this out tried to look on their website but couldn't find an answer.

Most interested in the one OC office but curious about them all.

I understand these firms work together. My question is if a high performing 2/3yr associate at such a law firm would be able to get someone an interview/job for an analyst position at a top bank. In general, does anyone know if this would be possible?
The guy at the law firm is an absolute genius, and the person applying for the position is from a top school with average credentials (3.0+...). Any advise?
