jefferies & putnam lovell

hey guys, looking for some help here.

jefferies recently acquired putnam lovell (boutique bank focused on FIG M&A), and they're supposedly the best bank in their space (4x as many deals as No. 2 bank). given that their offer is group specific, would you guys pick the jefferies generalist program or the putnam lovell group?

thanks, your help's appreciated.

ML Palo Alto vs Deutsche SF

Both tech shops, which one does more deals? Seems to me like DB doesnt get any respect on this board, but my friend that's working there right now is getting KILLED. He says there's a bunch of deals going on, and that's a pretty big office with a lot of bankers, no?

Hi guys,

I wanted to know a little more about the three different UBS offices... just anything general in terms of the work they do, size of the office, the different groups and how they're perceived on the street would be great.

Also had a couple of specific questions:

big name at small city vs. small name at big city

wanted to get people opinions on this...

say i can pick between two summer offers, (hypothetically speaking) one is from a prestigious name (think GS, MS) but in a city that you wouldn't exactly consider a great financial center (ie. not NYC, SF, etc. in the US and not HK in Asia), and the other one is a lower-tier bulge bracket (think Bear Stearns, DB, etc.) but is in a better location (think SF, LA, Chicago, etc.)... which one would set me up better for full time?
