Did anyone else attend this superday on February 21st? I believe it is their last superday for summer analyst hiring. Any responses yet?

Restructuring groups and opportunities

I've done a lot of research into industry and product groups, but I have not heard much about restructuring. Since restructuring has such a specific function, I'd like to know if someone can give me a detailed description of restructuring (aside from the FAQ description) including the entire deal process. Also, does anyone know the top groups and top boutiques for restructuring?

Merrill Lynch first round on campus

What should I expect in this interview? The career center said it shall be 2, 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 interviews lasting 20 minutes each. For someone with significant experience in finance and with a boutique bank, what questions should I expect? I am coming from a non-target school that has a relationship with ML.

Time spent between modelling and Pitch books

Q for those who are/were in a BB or MM bank as an analyst:

Saying that the majority of work that's completed as an analyst is creating pitch books and modeling, how would you say your time is split between these two activities? Are there any other major activities which I am leaving out?

Also, if you're open to it, please leave the product/industry group that you are in, as that plays a major role in how your time is split up between these activities, ie. lev fin spends a lot more time modeling than most other groups.

Average age of investment banker MBA

I'm currently an undergraduate and expect to get an MBA. I want to complete a stint as an i-banking analyst for 2 years before continuing on to get my MBA. However, I've noticed that most MBA candidates at the top schools have somewhere between 4-5 years of work experience before attending business school. I don't want to work for 4-5 years before attending business school. Do most I-Bankers on the ibanking -> MBA path work after their analyst stint and before attending business school?

Making up for a poor grade

I have an overall solid GPA (3.71) but a weak grade in financial accounting (B-) from a state school in NY where most the banks recruit.

What can I do to make that weak grade not seem as important? If I take a higher level of financial accounting and get an A, will banks care about the worse grade at the lower level? Any other supplementary courses to make my understanding of financial account
