bad grades after offer

so i was wondering what the "contingent upon no deterioration of academic performance" could most likely mean? Do you guys think the bank will take away the offer if you don't pass a class. For example, I know someone who got a D and I got a NP(no pass) in a tough non major class that we both didn't care about, just decided to take cause it might be helpful. Should I worry about the NP and should my friend worry about his D and tell the bank before we graduate in June.

help needed- should I take this pre mba analyst offer at secondary private equity?

I'm deciding between a pre-mba analyst offer at a top tier secondary private equity firm (5 billion) v. a MM IB offer. I was wondering what the comp norm is for a analyst offer for secondary private equity. My end goals are buyside so im leaning towards the PE offer, but what do you guys think? Is it good to skip sell side experience? Also, what is the different between PE at KKR or TPG versus private equity in secondary market.

help needed: questions from student counselor for students w/ ibanking offers

So my roommate is a student counselor at the career center and he has these questions addressed from students w/ ibanking offers. Each question is a different student's question.

1. What if a student accepts an offer from a ibank, and the next week he is given a better offer. What's the best way to approach this? Would you have no choice but to burn bridges?

2. Is it normal for a student to not hear back from a MM he/she accepted an offer in November? The student says the offer was different compared to BB offer letters, one page offer letter, no 2 year contract, and no signing bonus and low base. I just told my rommate to say yes, but what do you guys think?

preMBA offer- MM analyst position vs. MM PE Secondary analyst

What do you guys think is a better preMBA opportunity out of undergrad- MM analyst position (think Thomas Weisel, Piper, Montgomery) or (5 billion fund) secondary analyst position. I haven't decided whether I want to be in sell side or buy side but I'm leaning heavily towards buy side, but which opp is better in terms of exit opps(MBA, other buy side or sell side positions down the line)and overall experience (lifestyle, transaction/modeling experience).
