Analyst to associate promotions/bonuses

When do 2nd/3rd year analysts typically find out if they are promoted?

Also, do you still get the full associate signing bonus?

That would mean a 2nd/3rd year bonus in July + signing bonus (when?) + bump to $95/100k salary and then a stub bonus paid out in January, correct?

London Compensation

I've tried the search function, but couldn't find much.

Anyway, what do typical packages look like for 1st and 2nd year analysts at the BB's in London? Obviously, bonuses are anyone's guess at this point, but what did packages look like last year?

When are you expecting to hear bonus numbers?

I think we get our reviews the last week of June. The number talk around here has definitely picked up steam over the last few days, and I almost wish it would stop; No matter when I find out, it won't change when I actually have it in hand.

So let's assume the median on the spreadsheet is correct,

If thats the case, what could we expect other first year buckets to come in at? Typical $5k per bucket, or will we see $10k, given the much larger number to work with.

If that was the case, the bonus for the average analyst would be roughly in line with top of the range for last year's first years, correct?

Sales exit opps?

What exit opps exist for an analyst after completing the 2-3 year program on a vanilla desk (cash/cds corporates)?

Does it basically require an MBA to make any switch? What about trading?

What if you do go for an MBA? Will a sales position handicap you, or will you still be able to get into a trading role?

Best apartment broker? (especially Murray Hill)

I moved in with a friend of mine who was already in the city, but he is getting ready to head off for his MBA in the fall.

I never liked my apartment that much (although I love the neighborhood), so I'm looking to move. But its hard finding a nice 2BR (or convertible 1, if the price is right) with so little time.

Are there any brokers that are better than the rest for murray hill?

Include analyst class ranking/review on resume when looking to jump banks?

If one was looking to move to another bank after their first year, would it look stupid to put your review/ranking on the resume?

I.e. if you have been ranked in the top bucket across all categories, would it be worth your time to put it as a bullet? It is something that will come up in the interview anyway...
