 <title>My experience with who works for GS</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;So just some quick background on me. I went to a top 20 semi-target and I work in ibanking for a BB (think UBS, CS, DB). i had final rounds with GS for S&amp;amp;T but got rejected, but I am happy I did, because I was more interested in ibanking.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Anyway, one of the myths conveyed on this board are that only the best and brightest work for GS. False. Four people from my school will be working for GS. Only one of them had above 3.5, two had below 3.25 with majors such as Literature.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Can changing groups burn bridges?</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;Hello. So this is my situation. I was a summer last year at a top bank. At the end, i received a generalist offer, and I chose to came back. I am planning on attending on networking events my bank has to offer and I would like to switch groups, for various reasons. However, my old group is already going all out after me, taking me to dinner, for drinks etc.) and several VP&#039;s and one MD all believe that I m coming back 100%.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Aggressiveness</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;I have heard from plenty of people in my internship that aggressiveness becomes rerally important at the top levels of ibanking as fafr as getting deals done, attracting new business, retaining the best talent etc. How useful would aggressiveness be seen by a senior person when exhibited by an analyst. For example, right before graduation, I attended a seminar on how to network, which was led by a guy who used to be at DLJ, and now was the CEO of his own HR Consulting firm. I talked to him and he said that senior people loved to see pushiness from their young staff and were ready to help them get what they want. He said that if I really wanted a certain group, I should not be afraid to email some hitter in the group if I can get his email and be like &quot;I am really sweet, if you hire me, you will not be disappointed&quot;&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>Obsessed with Bear Stearns</title>

 <description>&lt;p&gt;So, I go to a semi-target school and I am about to graduate. Some companies recruit and some don&#039;t. Bear Stearns doesn&#039;t. I have a full-time offer for a BB (think Citi, DB, JPM, CS) but I have always been really attracted to BS culture - entrepreneural spirit, fluidity between ranks, good promotion rate to 3rd year, associate etc. and I have  always wanted to work for it.  Is that doable down the road, and what will I be giving up if I decided to pursue this?&lt;/p&gt;
