Resume Redundancy

If you have multiple experiences that are in the same field (ie. 2+ banking internships or jobs, etc), is it redundant to repeat similar duties? Before I was in this situation, I was always cognizant about having line items reiterating the same skill or experience. Now that I've had a few jobs/internships in finance under my belt, I find it hard to avoid describing my time at a particular firm without indirectly referencing a skill that I gained elsewhere. For example, for each banking job I've had, I've spent a significant amount of time making pitchbooks. Would it be okay to talk about that in 2+ positions?

I know some will say, quantify and be specific. However, especially in this market, sometimes we make a lot of pitchbooks that hard difficulty to meaningfully quanity because don't really amount to anything...but they still take up a large chunk of my day.

Opinions?

To former Lehman Employees,

Do your e-mail accounts still work? Do you still show up for work everyday? I am trying to get a hold of someone that works/used to work there but don't know if their e-mail is still active.

Those in the industry that know about the MM

I've been on this board for quite some time now and have read somewhat similar threads ad nauseam, but they are always lacking in one way or another. Could those in the industry, not just prospectives regurgitating what's already been said, list their opinions of the so called, "reputable MM banks"? Obviously this is very subjective, but I'm sure those that are at BB's or MM's can list banks that they have competed against on pitches, worked with on deals, etc.

Here are some of the more obvious ones:

Jefferies
Piper Jaffray
Cowen & Co.
Lazard MM
Perella Weinberg
Greenhill
Evercore
Moelis
Centerview
HLHZ
Brown Brothers Harriman

Etiquette

Hey guys,

Question about meal etiquette. As an SA or recent undergrad, what's the general rule on paying for meals when going to eat with MD's, VP's, CEO's, Associates, etc.? I assume if I go out with analysts/SA's, we just split the bill, but what about with mentors or network referrals? Is it an assumption that the most senior will pay? Would it be ridiculous for me to offer to split the bill with an MD?

Also, how does this situation change when it comes to something more menial like coffee? If I meet with an Associate from another bank for coffee, how do I handle the situation? I always feel awkward when the barista asks, "is this together or separate" and I say separate.

What about bars?

need advice within 48 hours!

I got an offer a few weeks ago from a fund of funds who wants a response within the next day or so. I have been extending it as I have been wrapping up my interviews with some other firms. I interviewed with a reputable boutique a few days ago and informed them of my time line. Unfortunately they said they won't know for a few weeks at least, to maybe a month.

HK DCM or boutique NY

As the title suggests, what would be better for an internship, a semi-BB (meaning not any of the traditional BB, but not a boutique either...so like a big bank whose name everyone has heard of) or a not so well known boutique in NY?

sales, trading, origination, or research --> banking

I have an interview next week for an SA position with a reputable bank, but it is going to be either in sales, trading, origination or research. Since I am a junior who ultimately wants to go into banking, which of the four areas would be in my best interest to choose?

phone interview tips

Since many people on this board are going through the recruiting process right now for SA positions, I think that a thread on phone interviews would be mutually beneficial for many. Although I know it is preferable to secure an in-person interview, but in the event that you have to go through with a phone interview, what are the best ways to do well?
