Hey guys, Im interning at a BB this summer and would like to know what is the best way to create and sustain a network of contacts this summer. Networking with my peers is a given.

Do I invite as many high level professionals I meet to coffee/lunch, hoping they some will "bite"?

I know I should contact alums from my school, but unfortuneately, there are very few.

I've heard its business casual, but "New York Business Casual," which I understand to be suit+tie w/o the jacket.

What happens when you have a year left on your Blackberry plan when you start working for a major BB? Do you have cancel the plan and get a new phone and NY cell number, or will the firm take over the payments on your existing plan?

IBD vs. AM SA?

I would like to know what the general perception is of the internship programs in the Investment Banking and Asset Management (institutional) divisions of the BBs, particularly GS, MS, JPM, Lehman, and BlackRock(for asset management only). I imagine ibanking interns would learn a great deal of modeling and have a great exposure to deal flow.

Housing for SAs?

Does anyone have any suggestions for summer interns trying to find housing in the city? I've heard about NYU and Columbia dorms, but are there any other good places that most people may not know about? Also, how difficult is it to get housing at NYU and Columbia?

International Internships?

I would like to be a summer analyst in a major European city like London, Paris, or Geneva.

How would I go about getting an internship abroad with an I-banking firm, possibly Goldman Sachs, UBS, Citigroup, BNP Paribas, ABN Ambro, etc.?

My college doesn't offer them either...
