Nabbing London S&T from U.S. for Next Summer

As the subject states, I would like to work in S&T at a BB in London for my junior summer. I got good experience this summer stateside and want to move on to something else.

I don't remember there being ANY options from BB's at On Campus Recruiting to work in London. We were given options to work in Asia, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York...but not Europe.

If I express interest in interview process, will BB's be receptive to me working in London?

Is there a separate European process? If so, when does it start?

I've already started smiling and dialing, but secretaries and HR are generally unhelpful. Anyone know a good resources containing London S&T contact information?

Thanks in advance!

How much do you drink?

To full-time bankers (specifically not including SA's):

How many times per week on average do you go out to drink?

On an average night, how many drinks do you drink?

Are you a guy or girl?

How much do you weigh? (Obviously optional)

Help me understand equity swaps

I understand the scenarios where individuals would benefit from rate swaps and currency swaps.

Can anyone provide a scenario that would help me understand equity swaps? How would an individual or firm benefit from hedging equity price risk? How can this be done successfully? Do equity swaps involve single stock exchanges or index to index exchanges?

Thank you for your help.

One is mentioned in Liar's Poker...

I would appreciate any names of firms which have trading desks in LA or LA-focused hedge-funds.

I just returned from a night out and the alcohol has provided my with a spark of curiosity -

Do bulge-bracket IB's have company basketball teams?

If yes -

Is there a team for each division? Say...IBD vs. S+T vs. CM's ?? Intra-firm?

Do they play games that are inter-firm?

Do the teams of tier 1's (GS, MS, etc.) beat the teams of the tier 2's (DB, LB, who gives a fuck, etc.)???
