As someone who is waiting for the other shoe to drop, I'd be curious to hear what other people in finance who have been laid off or are waiting for impending layoffs plan to do if they're let go.

I'm looking into Teach for America or considering going to a non-top 10 B-school.

Can someone explain the trade process on a derivs desk, i.e. how trades flow from initiation to settlement.

Trying to transition to a FO position.

Operations at OTC group in a large hedge fund doing trade capture, breaks, settlement, etc..

Credit risk at a BB I-bank calculating exposure, monitoring risk, and analyzing balance sheets.

Can anybody tell me a little bit about JPM culture; specifically do you guys know anything about their exotics desk? Anyone who has went through the interview etc...
