What if you hate modeling?

I have been doing PE for 2.5 years and have done quite a bit of modeling (LBO, merger, operational, etc.). I am not particularly good at it nor do I enjoy it very much. Are there any finance related jobs that do not involve extensive modeling as I would prefer not to sit behnid a computer screen all day tabbing back and forth between my assumptions page and sensitivity tables tab?

Finally the market is giving credit to undervalued stocks...

My very undiversified PA portfolio consists of i-star (SFI) and Dillards (DDS) both of which deserve the credit they are getting in today's rally.

Last week Chuck Jaffe of Market Watch called i-star the

Stupid Investment of the Week
Big yield, bounce-back potential aren't enough to make this REIT a good deal

After having issued a SPAC several months ago I found this article in DealBook this morning to be entertaining. Certainly worth a read...

MDs are crazy

Today, I called several middle market i-banks with significant regional expertise in various domestic markets. This crazy MD returns my phone call and I introduce my group and what it is that I would like him to help us with. I then proceed to ask, which bank he is with and the guy blows his lid. His response was something to the effect of:

Boutique/M/M list and SPAC IPO

Can anyone direct me toward a site or provide a list that outlines all of the regional boutique/MM i-banks across the country. We recently IPO'd a $400 M SPAC and I am looking to gain contacts within these smaller banks to pick up any deal flow that may fly under the radars of some of our BB guys. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is it just me?

Is anyone else having trouble with their current view of this website since the upgrades/modifications. My tool bar, which used to be on the left now resides in the middle of my fucking screen (overlapping this text box), which makes it impossible to read anything. Anyone else have similar issues?

Quantitative based

Can someone provide insight into the spectrum of trading: from most quantitatively focused to least "". Can someone without a quant heavy background become a successful trader? I would imagine that anyone with a solid understaning of capital markets and financial analysis experience could trade (not necessarily successfully)in a long/short equity fund? Would I be correct in my assumption?
