Which Bank has Screwed its SA/FT Analysts the Least?

In light of recent events, I'm curious to know which banks have been able to stick by their guns and honor the original banking offers that they handed out? We know the market is bad, but stil I'm assuming that not everyone is like Bear Stearns or JPM...right?

Do more hour-intensive groups pay more?

On average, for example, would an M&A group or a Healthcare group pay its analysts more in bonuses because the hours are generally more demanding, or does it not make a difference, or is it all based on how much money the group is bringing in, regardless of hours?

Would then a less hour-intensive group such as ECM pay its analysts less?

Thanks in advance!

Berkeley or Cornell?

Alright guys, I'm having some trouble deciding between the two since they appear to be the best options I have. For Cornell I got into AEM, which is good, I know their career ops are solid. Cal's weather/atmosphere is clearly superior, however I am concerned because students have to reapply to Haas as a sophomore and they only accept about 40% of Berkeley Undergrads.

Is AEM Legit?

I was considering going to Cornell AEM but first I need to know how it stacks up against peer schools like Ross, Stern, Haas, etc.

Now, I know its an ivy and is a target, but I also hear that it is "relatively" easy. Would recruiters then discount an AEM GPA as being overly-inflated?

Importance of SAT

Does anyone have insight as to how important this is to firms? It seems like a lot of them are looking at it but just how much does it matter? Is is measured on par w/ GPA? What kind of scores are firms looking for? Would they care about relavent subject tests as well (Math IIC)?

GE Corporate Audit Staff comp?

Does anyone out there know what the comp is like in GE CAS? Obviously i'm not expecting IB pay but if its peanuts then that would be disappointing.

I know that the hours and travel get fairly killer but the exit opps for GE are supposed to be amazing (i.e. exit into a CFO role at a GE division). I'm trying to gauge whether it's worth it or not to consider that route.

Apply Early Decision to Wharton?

Hey guys, I just finished up my junior year, and my stats seem to be good enough to get into some type of target, even though they are not ultra-spectacular. Do you think it would be a good idea to apply Early Decision to Wharton? It would give me a good boost in terms of chances, but would automatically rule out HYP and other schools for regular decision if I got in. While I would be very happy if I got into Wharton, I just want to make sure that passing up the (small) chance to get into HYP isn't an idiot's move.
