SAs with no offer?

What happens to summers who don't get FT offers? My group was particularly difficult, and had less than a 50% retention rate? So are we screwed for FT recruiting (IF there even is full time recruiting)? I have heard that banks don't even know how many analysts they need, and that some banks are on a rolling basis? Any advice? Thanks.

SA offer rates?

Know it's early, but i've been hearing about Lehman's first wave offer rate- a little higher than 50%? Can anyone verify? CS, Merrill, and first wave GS comes out this friday i believe. To those who have the power (i.e. 1st years and up) what do you think the rates will be? Obviously different per bank, but will most of the BBs go closer to that 50% rate that Lehman (or rather it's terrible condition) has set?

200 Water St. this summer NYC?

I know GS, JP and ML booked some rooms within 200 Water st. To those who've signed up, did you get a confirmation yet with details regarding which room, which floor, etc? I hear NYU Housing is taking care of this, but it's getting a lil' late, and I'm wondering if anyone else got some sort of confirmation. Thanks.

How will credit crunch affect hiring?

All, how will the recent credit crunch affect hirings across the boards with BB firms? Will all analyst classes be significantly decreased? Also, on a more personal level, I'm a rising junior at a target, with a 3.5 GPA, decent ECs and work experience. Will the recent downturns in the market cut me out of 1st rnd interviews entirely? Or do you feel there will still be opportunities available?

Quantatitive Research/Analyst

I haven't heard much about it, just that you need at least a Ph.D. in Statistics or some other math-related thing...what exactly is it, and how much do you make in it? My friend told me after 6-7 years, his dad earns close to 600K. Is that really true? If so , are the qualifications needed is that you be get a doctorate?

As of right now, I have something, but it's not really good, so I'm looking to get something better. I know it's REALLY late, so no more campus recruiting etc...In my situation where would you look for something in the banking sector? Monstertrak? is that it?
