CFA for debt investors

Apologies, but couldn't quite place which category for the topic.

Basic question - how valuable is the CFA to debt investors (either leveraged loans or publicly traded debt)?

Question for experienced people working in funds

Ok, so I work in a debt fund, on the asset team. We are a levered fund and a large part of our returns obviously comes from levering equity and the spread between the assets we invest in and the cost of debt. We have a 2 person liabilities team who are in charge of this. For various reasons (raising capacity) we are looking at exit/expansion routes for our first fund.

This is a fairly interesting article. A little simplistic (but the author does admit to that), but worth a read. Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere on the site.

I currently work for a largely buy and hold debt fund (can do small trades on existing portfolio companies) that can invest in all of the capital structure but typically looks at Second Lien to PIK for return purposes.

Would like to know what base salaries are, what % of base bonus typically is, and when people tend to get carry in debt funds. I have searched a bit for this and not much has come up. Particularly interested in London numbers if possible. Thanks.
