I am a junior going through the internship application process and I am slightly worried about getting into I-banking (or, more accurately, S&T)

The dollar is falling fast, we are about to have a democrat in office, and it just seeems as if the wall street bubble may be about to burst.

are these insane thoughts? is job security going to be a huge problem at BB firms in the near future?

I know that there is a typical (or ideal) career path for IBD'ers- Analyst, then associate or b-school, then PE/HF..

How about for people who enter S&T out of college? Do they stay at the firm and move up within a BB firm, or do they ever go to HFs?

Can someone enlighten me please?

Consultant at Monitor vs. Emerging Markets Analyst at Deutsche Bank

-lifestyle w/ monitor may be much better but DB pay is better...

Which has better exit opps?
Which is more interesting/rewarding work?
