Question for Corp Fin gurus

I recently had a test question (Final exam for corporate finance) that asked me to calculate WACC, which my entire class, including myself, found very difficult. The question asked us to calculate the WACC for a company. The problem with the question was that it did not state the cost of debt, nor did it give us the information on bonds outstanding so we could ourselves calculate YTM. The question simply said the company had Long-term interest expense of $40 million. The cost of equity was easy to calculate through CAPM, but the debt part was tricky. Could anyone help?

What do Financial Advisory Services of Big 4 Accounting companies Do?

I was wondering what kind of work these departments do. Information about this division is hard to come by, so I was wondering if anyone had a good answer. I know they have different divisions, such as M&A, Corporate Finance, Infrastructure, Municipal, etc.

And how does the work compare to Front-office finance (IB, ST, AM)?

Many thanks.

Question about Undergrad Grade levels

I don't attend a US university, so we rarely use ranks such as Sophomore, Junior, Seniors...

Let's say an application requirement says "College Juniors". Does that mean when I finish sophomore and enter Junior, or when you complete Junior and enter Senior?

Thanks

GPA Question

Do recruiters look seriously into all your grades, or could they sense a pattern and make a decision on that. I was wondering because first year I didn't do so great, mainly due to being lazy and procrastinating, and resulted in a 3.1 GPA. If subsequent years are a solid 3.7+, with a positive trend, would recruiters still take my first year seriously. I go to a pretty good b-school in Canada, which has almost all IBs do on-campus recruiting.

Small Dilemma

I'm a rising Sophomore. I'm currently working in the back-office of a discount brokerage, it's simple operations. I'm doing it because it pays well, and I work 35 hour weeks. I just started working here this week.

However, I have an interview tomorrow at a Boutique IB, that is currently expanding into Canada, but it's based in NY-US. The job is for assisting in equity research for the month of August. I'm not even sure if the role is paid, but my obvious goal is to gain work experience.
