Meeting Contacts at Another Bank

So I'm a SA at a bank in NYC, and just wrapped up my first week of being with my group. While I like my bank and whatnot, I would like to keep in touch with some of my contacts at other banks, and to keep my options open for FT recruiting.

Is it appropriate to ask an analyst at another bank to grab coffee or a drink sometime? If so, how do you do this when you work such long hours? I realize they are just as busy, but if you can get their attention, how would you schedule something as a SA?

I realize this might sound a bit silly, but any input from current analysts or former SAs would be appreciated.

contact for a fake

So I'm starting as a SA in NYC in a few weeks, and I just got back from group placement. Since I'm young and won't be 21 till the fall, I'm wondering if anyone has any contacts for a fake (ie not those online scams). I spent a few hours running around NYU looking (tatoo parlors, going to places my friends recommended), but a lot of places have gotten shut down recently.

Private Placements

Similar to the co-managing thread, can some guys in banking talk a bit about private placements? What exactly do you learn as an analyst, and if you were to work in a private placement group, what type of exit options would you have?

Thanks in advance

Keeping in touch with Interviewers/Contacts

I'll be a SA at a MM bank in NYC this summer, but made it to final rounds at a few top boutiques. I felt a pretty strong connection with my interviewers (3 VPs, 1 MD) at one bank, and have been in touch with one of the analysts. When I was given the indefinite hold, I ended up accepting elsewhere, and told these guys.

Staying in touch over the summer

I did final rounds at a very strong boutique, but unfortunately got the "hold" position and ended up accepting an offer at another bank. I really liked this particular group though (at the boutique), and felt I connected with all the guys that i met/interviewed with. (2 VPs, associates and analyst).

Getting a Fake

Can anyone give me some advice on where to get a good fake ID in NYC? The one I have I got near Bryant Park several years ago, but I was 17 then, which would make me 23 now (and I don't look 23 at all) - it was also just a shitty fake that barely worked in the East Village.

I want a new one that will actually work, and I've heard that NYC is cracking down.

Is this a rejection?

Just curious, I did final rounds at a top boutique not too long ago. I followed up with the recruiter this week saying that I had two other offers, with about 2 weeks to decide.

ML IBK Phone Interview - Summer Analyst

Sorry to start another thread......

Can anyone give some insight into the first round phone screen with ML for the SA program in IBK? I'm from a non-target/finance major. I would asssume technical, but very technical compared to say Cit, GS or Lazard?

Thanks in advance

BB not reimbursing for travel?

I don't want to start a new thread like the last one, but I got an offer for a Superday at a BB, and in the email, they said that they could not reimburse travel expenses
Seems a bit odd, but this BB is having the most problems with the credit crisis, anyone else get this? I am a from a non-target so I'm sure that makes a difference too.

I've been offered two final rounds at two smaller banks in NY. The person at on bank mentioned that if I was in NY in the next week or so, I would be able to do the final round then. I would like to do both in one trip, but I'm not sure how to proceed.
