Best NYC deals on cable/internet

I'm moving to the city next week and dealing with setting up all the utilities and stuff. I was wondering if anyone had good advice on the best provider for cable/internet? I know a lot of analysts dont have the time to really take advantage of it, but I'm willing to spend the money so that I can really relax when I am home. Time Warner seems to be a good option, but are there any other cheaper/better providers around?

Safest area of the banks

Given the across the board "nobodys safe" layoffs across pretty much all banks/divisions, is there any groups or areas that are 'realatively' safer in this downturn? I'm thinking maybe areas like public finance or some plain vanilla trading desks?

Good Apt NYC Buildings for Analysts

Like all the other incoming 1st years on the board I'm about to head up to NYC to find an apt. Overall, its pretty depressing what you can afford, even with probably the highest paying job out of college.

But I was wondering if any of you that have already gone through this have any recommendations on particular buildings good for the analyst life/budget (or ones to avoid like the plague)

Comparing apples and oranges

Ok, so I really am going in circles and cannot make a decision with my offers. They are so different that I am having trouble comparing them. The main factor for me is the exit opportunities and business school prospects. I think the problem I am having is both are great opportunities but mildly limiting in both factors (maybe not business school as much but I'm not sure). The offers are....

S&T Summer Analyst Hours

What kind of hours do summer analysts in S&T normally put in? I know FTs normally are doing something resembling getting in 6-7 and leaving 5-8 depending on the desk, but do summers put in much more other than always being the first in and last to leave (and any weekends?). Just curious what to expect

S&T Summer Analysts (Compared to IBD)

So everybody on these boards is always talking about the experience of summers in IBD and its SA to FT rates. Obviously as a summer in trading you cant do as much because you arent licensed, but do you still put in the long hours (of course you are doing everything you can to be noticed, but it seems like at the end of the day, their just isnt as much you can do late into the night). Also are th
