Front or Back office?

There has been recent discussion about jobs being front or back office, or somewhere in-between. I was curious how my offer for the summer is classified: Summer Analyst, corporate finance and more specifically Basel and economic allocation group. Apparently I would be analyzing credit risk on the balance sheet and figuring out where to allocate bad debt.

Which option is better?

I'm presented with two different options for this summer (between my sophomore and junior year) and I am somewhat unsure as to which opportunity would offer better opportunities for a future SA position or FT position in either banking or trading/asset management.

Fund of fund interview

I have an interview for a fund of fund, is there anything I should be expecting besides fit questions? The position is for a research opportunity as an undergrad (internship/co-op program). Let me know if this is too vague. Thank you.

Northwestern Mutual Internship

I did a search and noticed the recent post about the Internship through Northwestern Mutual and was surprised at the negativity. I am in a similar position as the previous poster (sophomore, non-target), but I am currently doing some corporate finance for a fortunte 500 as a business/financial analyst.
