Pinstripe Suit Advice Needed

I am interested in picking up a pinstripe suit or two and would like to get something that is fairly conservative and not flashy.

In terms of how far apart the pinstripes are on the suit, what would be better, pinstripes closer together or farther apart? Also, I am avoiding thick pinstripes as those just look odd in my opinion.

Finally, if someone could also comment on the suit (via the link) and whether they would consider this conservative or not, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Regarding all those attire questions...

Just out of curiosity, how many WSO posters have or do post on the Ask Andy About Clothing forums? Its a really good place to learn about proper IBD attire for SA's and New Hires as numerous threads already exist regarding these issues.

And even if you're not an SA or a brand new FT, its a really cool place to learn about clothing in general if that sort of thing interests you.

Allied Capital

This PE firm seems to be a very big player, but the search function delivered nothing on it. They have been around since 1963 and are publicly traded. Seem to do not just buyouts but other types of deals as well. Does anyone know about culture, comp, deals etc. as they may relate to this firm? Any other insight/information is welcome. Thanks in advance.

The need for an MBA?

Why do PE shops force associates without mba's to leave for graduate school? If you land a spot after 2 years in banking and do well, why do you need to leave the industry for 2 years? What do you all see as the Pros and Cons?

I cannot see why one would leave the industry to get an MBA. Please share your thoughts as I could really use some perspective. What could you possibly learn in an MBA program, that you cannot learn in the real world?

Thanks for your thoughts, and if this topic has already been covered, please post the link as I was unable to find it.

"Sourcing Model"

I have been searching through past threads, trying to put together a list of MM PE firms that I will eventually try to interview with for a job. Through this process, I have come across several statements along the lines of "be wary of firms that make you source deals at the junior levels".
