Seems like with fit people can bs anything, but it's hard to bs technicals so then the interviewer really has a reason to say you're out?

Isn't this a little bit weird? I feel a little bit embarrassed going to these info sessions (which are RIGHT) before resume drop but if I don't go, will this be bad in terms to getting chosen for an interview?

I don't want to get into details, but I made some bad choices and ended up with no offer for next year. I go to a top school and interned in a mezz fund. I want to apply for summer internships again but feel embarrassed seeing all the BBs send invites out to the 2009 class. I'm a senior and don't feel I really belong to these events. If I don't go, I might not get an interview.

So I got an offer from an ibank and moving to final rounds with another, but I told both that I got offers from my summer internship which I infact didnt (but it wasnt in banking, it was in mezz debt fund). I really regret this decision, what should I do? Spill the beans?
