Searching for a roommate - My Ad

Is anyone moving to NYC by July 1st and looking for a roommate?

I know this is slightly out of topic for the 'ibanking' discussion but more people visit here than any other section of the site and I think craigslist is kinda sketch.

I'm from a non-target (TCU, TX) and not many people make it up to NY for their first jobs - so I don't know anyone from school to room with. I'm used to living with 3 guys. We all get along with each other, no problems. I'd like to have the same type of friendship with a NY roommate. My ideal roommate would be someone who is outgoing, down-to-earth, chill and gets along with everyone. Someone who likes to have a good time on the weekends but is dedicated to being a professional at work.

Send me a PM if your searching for a roommate too..

I'm planning on moving in by July 1st (possibly mid-June) but I could move in as early as mid-June.

FT Hire at BEAR starting in summer 08'

I have been hired and accepted a FT analyst position at Bear to start in the summer of 08'. I have been hired in the Controllers group. With the way things are looking with the $2 per share buyout by JPM it's uncertain that I will even have a job. I graduate in less than 2 months.

When is the best time to take the GED?

I am graduating from Undergrad school from a non target in May 2008. I have already receieved and accepted an offer from a BB in middle/back office position. I do not know if I want to go to gradschool eventually. It depends on how the 2 year analyst program goes. However, I do want to prepare myself for the possibility of going to get an MBA at a target school.

How hard is it to just get by in NYC on a 1st year Analyst salary?

How hard is it to save, build wealth, pay all your bills, and live a decent life in NYC as an Analyst in BB firm but not in IBD? Will I be skrimping for money every paycheck?

I'm going to be in the 28% tax bracket + state + nyc tax, no car, decent apartment (want to live on the island), some school debt. How hard will it be to live?
