PE Associate Recruiting

Does anyone have a feel for PE Associate recruiting schedules given the current market dislocation? To my understanding, the first wave of Associate recruiting takes place in the July-Aug, followed by another wave in Feb-March.

I joined a private equity firm out of undergrad and am possibly looking to lateral within the industry after 2 years.

i have a few questions about modeling tests in private equity invterviews. could those who have actually taken one please send me a private message? i am already in private equity - I was not required to take a test in my interview since I came out of undergrad.

i realize that there is another thread on this, but i have some specific questions.

As a precursor - I am aware that the b-school admissions process is contingent on a multitude of factors, to the extent that predicting acceptance/rejection is basically a crap shoot.

Hey all,

Quick question about the GMAT. I recently graduated from undergrad (May 07) and have been thinking about taking the GMAT in a few months. I've scored well on practice exams and want to get it out of the way. I know scores are good for 5 years, but is there a disadvantage to doing this from an admissions perspective? Any advice is appreciated.
