Can someone explain simply what a supply chain analyst would do? Does anyone have any experiences about it? Good experience, etc...

I'm pretty uninformed about the subject. I'm trying to do some independent research, but some firsthand information would be nice. Thanks.

No phone calls

Stupid question alert.

While I'm still interviewing and waiting to hear back from a few places, I found a position that I'm really interested in with a boutique. However, the website says "no phone calls." Would it be completely inappropriate to give them a call and follow up on the status of my application?

I'm not going to post a lot of details for personal reasons and because I'm sure you guys don't want to read a ton of stuff. Here's the deal: Would you accept an analyst position in public finance @ a smaller firm with exit opportunities you're not even sure of or would you just work on a one year masters degree @ a very highly regarded institution and do an IB internship and try again in 09?

Exploding offer help

Hey all. I have a few offers from various firms (non-BB). I actually heard back from one of the regional firms in my area about a phone interview for an analyst position, though it is late. My question is, would it be at all feasible to ask them to speed up the process because of my other offers so that I may make a sufficient decision? Or would they be offended/ding me? Thanks guys.

Numerical Reasoning

I was invited to take a numerical reasoning examination for a few different firms for a SA position at BB firms. Is this standard for everyone? Upon successful completion of this assessment is the first round interview correct?

Can someone give me some advice?

I truly have no idea what to do, so please bare with me. I have been accepted to a target school for August of 2008 for a one year program in economics/finance. I'm doing this because my undergrad school isn't strong enough to get me an analyst position at a ibank and to be quite honest, I'd like to pursue it for personal reasons as well.
