Got a buddy who's currently in his 11th round with GS pwm and scheduled for another 5-7 more rounds next week. Heard that should any of your interviewers (even if its just 1 of them) disapproves of you, the interview process comes to an abrupt end regardless of how many previous rounds you've been through. Is that true? Thanks for the inputs.

07' Analyst Pay in GS NY

I have a college mate who's joining GS NY this July and getting 65k base pay. Any other firms up-ed their 1st yr analyst pay to 65k? Thought that 60k was the street this yr.

IBD Analyst Pay in Aussie

What is the 07' base-pay for IBD analysts in Aussie? (1st, 2nd or 3rd year analysts) Perhaps at the major ibanks in Aussie such as Macquarie, GoldmanJBWere or UBS, etc.
