Resume writing practice - city you worked in, or city based in?

If you worked on studies in like San Fran, Detroit, and Houston but were based in say Chicago or Miami, would you put the location of the study next to the resume description?

Technically you are taxed wherever you worked, I think?

Just wondering because I saw an MBB resume for PE and they had city mentioned for each of the main studies they discussed.

How often do banks work with consultancies on M and A advisory issues, such as integrating work force and figuring out synergies?

Preparing for MBB Internship

Hey guys

I am working at a smaller sized office at an MBB (didn't do NYC due to personal reasons/family). Pretty much every industry and functional area is active in it so my options aren't limited, and I have a few general questions.

First - is there any reading material to prepare myself for consulting, both instructional and entertainment?

Does what city you are in matter?

Case Flow at Bain NYC vs Southern McK Office

Hey guys, I was wondering if there were any differences in terms of the flow of challenging, interesting cases that would serve as good learning and resume experiences at a McK office below the Mason-Dixon line (there are 6...so it shouldn't be too obvious which one) and Bain NYC.

Hey guys

I am interested in getting the best experience possible consulting this summer, and while I'm interested in finance, I am more focused on being challenged and learning a lot.

So are there any differences between McK and Bain, considering the McK office is below the Mason-Dixon line and the Bain office is in NYC, in terms of learning experience, resume prestige, etc.?

McK Indianapolis vs New York

Is the deal flow/quality of work significantly different at the Indianapolis office than say, New York and Boston, and will it still look the same on a resume. Any examples?

Also, is it harder to get into NYC office than other offices?

Final Round BCG and McK - Probability of Offer

Hey, I have final round interviews at BCG and McK. Both for NYC office - how many kids end up with offers percentage wide (within a certain range?). If I wanted to do, say, the Indianapolis office is there less competition?

In general, what to expect beyond regular cases?

In general, do most PE firms have a RE group? Any blockbuster deals in the industry that are noteworthy, and how does international RE been entered by domestic firms?

Also, I realize MS/GS are the two best in this...but I don't have offers from them. What would you do...with, say, offers from DB, Wachovia (NYC office), UBS, or BoA.
