Intl students ... how was recruiting?

Just curious, lots of places told me they don't want to hire international students this time around and many of them are auto-dinging.

Applying to 3 divisions ... too much?

Well so far I've been applying to only IBD OR S&T for most plces, but now I'm getting scared that I might not have enough interviews.

SO now the banks that are left are Lehman, MS, UBS, and Citi. Most of them have 2-3 listings. Should I apply for all of them?

Barclays Capital - Good news

I was lucky enough to meet with the director if Investment banking @ Barclays and he told me BC is looking to hire more than 500 analysts this year. Around 280 SA and the rest FT's.
They target 22 undergraduate schools, out of which they expect to pick about 60-70% of their new employees.

Do SA's learn more @ non BB's?

From reading listings @ my schools career center, it seems that @ places like Jane Strt, DRW etc. interns have the opportunity to learn a lot more. Some of the them also advertise - classes after work!!

I am in the process of re-writing my cover letter. I had a couple of questions, and would love to get some feedback from you guys.

tech analyst, need some advice - future path

Hey guys,

I'm a hardcore engineering major @ a top 5 university. All banks recruit here and on average they take 7-8 analysts each year.

I've taken 3-4 graduate courses (I'm currently a junior) and my GPA is on the low side 3.1 through my major GPA is around 3.56 - unfortunately I have to work in excess of 15 hours a week, which is screwing my GPA.
