Any Opinions? LSE MSc Finance and Risk vs MSc Finance
Hello everyone,
I recently applied to LSE MSc Finance and Risk and got admitted. Back then I failed to consider that the MSc Finance is the main target program for recruiters, however I thought the MSc Finance and Risk looks a bit more interesting in terms of coursework and focus.
I have not found any previous discussions on placements, does anyone know something about that? How do the two programs compare to each other in terms of (1) prestige, (2) learning and development, and (3) work placements? I want to go down the asset management / Sales & Trading route with the big goal of ending up at a hedge fund down the line. Not interested in Investment Banking or Consulting personally.
Furthermore, are Finance career events at LSE only for MSc Finance students or also for MSc Finance and Risk students?
Would love to hear some input from people who studied there or know something about my question.
