Career Advice

I don't know how many people will see or read this but it's worth a shot. Some info below:

I am currently in high school but ahead of the curve in terms of knowledge and experience so this is thinking really far ahead but I still hope to gain some advice. As I just stated, I am a sophomore in high school and want to pursue a career in the buy side(specifically equity asset management or HF). I am very into equities and about 2-3 hours of my day is spent researching the markets or a company (My portfolio was up 10% 2022).

I am in a stocks club ran by a CFA where we write up reports on a company and present them to the class. My reports are above the rest of the class in terms of the content, my last report was a 30 slide show on TSMC with a DCF, summarized 3q meeting, all the financial metrics, and more.

Through this connection I was able to secure an informational interview at an >60b AUM Asset Management firm and meet with one of their portfolio managers. Him and the class leader both advised me to take accounting courses so I would have a thorough understanding of balance sheets and how to evaluate a company as certain companies may amortize their assets differently which could affect cash flows. I wanted to intern at said company but couldn't due to my age, I have been told before to focus on college which I am doing but I still have a lot of free time on my hands. I took a summer Econ class last year at UCLA and hope to take a college econ or accounting course this summer.

My overall question is what I should do in high school to gain more experience and knowledge? If anyone has a firm that are looking for HS interns then please PM me!!
