DL to Liquid Credit

All has anyone made this switch before. My liquid credit, I’m not just talking about primary syndicated debt but stressed, HY bonds, lev loans in the secondary etc.

My background is Rx banking and Direct Lending. Could y’all please advise. Thanks in advance

By research involved do you mean you prefer to have further levels of information accessible that's only available in DL? Or were you referring to the research on the distressed side with respect to structure/covenants/game theory/etc? Always curious to hear other perspectives as I've always gravitated much more to liquid and tradeable credit roles as it seems to fit me more.
