Totally understand that watch aficionados will prefer a mechanical watch but it’s funny to me that you’re focused on the Apple watch’s limited functionality. Isn’t a mechanical watch basically jewelry?

Overpriced for what you get out of it. The faces are different at best, but not really a difference maker, and you would expect a nicer bracelet for that price. Part of the appeal is to have something different than a traditional watch, and adding a traditional-ish bracelet makes it mostly weird.

Mainly for convenience. It allows you to keep up on all notifications without having to check your phone all the time.

It's useful at lunches, coffee breaks, workouts because you can focus on the conversation/workout at hand and not worry about missing an important email or update (without checking your phone constantly which can look rude).

In terms of fitness, there's a heart rate monitor and VO2 max tracker which come in handy.

Get whatever you feel you want man. I personally love that actual watches are a very customizable part of a guy's wardrobe and can be a statement or personal passion which is rare for a professional setting. Apple watches aren't my vibe due to it being essentially an extension of my phone but have seen tons of guys, regardless of industry, rocking one daily

If you have some extra $ laying around and are into tech go for it.

I prefer a regular watch but have been using my apple watch a lot more recently.

Best use cases for me are when I'm driving and want to change spotify songs, if someone calls i can answer right from the watch, and it vibrates and displays direction changes when you're using it with google maps.

It can become super distracting if you don't turn 'do not disturb' mode on when you're trying to get work done.
